Kulu Safaris campsite is located near the Katagamuwa entrance to Yala Block 1 (which is the quieter entrance) and is set right in front of the Kochchipathana Lake, which offers a picturesque sight and wildlife sightings are absolutely fantastic.
The campsite is located approximately 293 Km (4 hour drive) away from the Bandaranaike International Airport and approximately 287 Km from Colombo.

Campsite consists of 6 Air-conditioned tents with ensuite toilet with hot & cold water shower. Two of the tents are Family tents which could accommodate up to 4 pax & the remaining 4 tents could accommodate upto 3 pax each. Family tent consist of a Dbl bed & 2 Sgl beds.
Mobile Camping Tents: The campsite also offers a mobile safari option for tailor-made camping experiences to suit specific client requests. Although these tents are smaller, they are comfortable, cool and well equipped. Often, the site deploys these tents to host Wildlife Documentary clients, who need to be more agile when filming wildlife in remote parts of the island. The mobile option is also popular among adventurous groups seeking a unique and customised ‘off the beaten track’ experience.

The campsite typically offers a combination of local (Sri Lankan) cuisine, as well as Western and Continental meals. However, they are happy to accommodate special requests (such as catering to food allergies, less spicy, vegetarian meals etc.)
